Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Breviant Marketing Services (OPC) Private Limited ("Wention", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use wention.ai. We are the data fiduciary/controller for that data.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

1. Who we are

Wention is a product of Breviant Marketing Services (OPC) Private Limited, a One Person Company incorporated in India. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@wention.ai.

2. Data we collect

Information you provide

  • Account data: your full name, business email, company name, and a securely hashed password.
  • Workspace data: your organization, role, memberships, and invitations you send or accept.
  • Content you submit: websites you add, campaign briefs, publications, disputes, and messages to us.
  • Communication preferences (e.g. whether you receive email notifications).

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser and device information, and log data (via our hosting provider).
  • First-touch attribution: how you first arrived (referring website, UTM campaign parameters, and landing page), stored in a first-party cookie and, at signup, on your account. We use this to understand which channels bring us members.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties

When you buy credits, our payment provider shares limited transaction details (such as a transaction ID and amount) so we can fulfil your purchase. We do not receive or store your full card details.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and operate your account, workspace, and credit balance.
  • To provide the core service: matching campaigns with publishers, verifying publications, and resolving disputes.
  • To process purchases and maintain records of transactions.
  • To send service, security, and transactional messages, and (where enabled) notifications.
  • To secure the Platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
  • To understand and improve our product, including first-party analytics computed from our own database.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Platform (for example, to keep you signed in) and, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via our consent banner and manage them in your browser. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

6. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to operate the Platform, and only with parties that are bound to protect it:

  • Service providers that help us run the Platform on our behalf — such as cloud hosting, database management, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and AI-powered features.
  • Professional advisors (such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers) where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and the public.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Payments are handled by our payment provider acting as merchant of record; we do not receive or store your full card details. A list of the specific service providers we currently use is available on request — just email hello@wention.ai.

7. AI processing

Some features use third-party AI providers (large language models) to classify websites, discover competitors, and generate content suggestions. To power these features we send only the relevant website URLs and public page content needed for the task — not your account credentials, and not sensitive personal data. These providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including outside India. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers’ contractual commitments and standard data-protection terms) as required by applicable law.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs, after which we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account at any time (subject to records we must retain by law).

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), bcrypt hashing of passwords (we never store plaintext passwords), access controls, and reliance on infrastructure providers with recognized security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to incidents.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a summary of processing.
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data (the right to be forgotten).
  • Withdraw consent, including for analytics cookies, at any time.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability, where applicable.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity (under the DPDP Act).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India or your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@wention.ai. We will respond within the timelines required by law.

12. Grievance officer

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable Indian IT rules, you may address grievances regarding the processing of your personal data to our Grievance Officer at hello@wention.ai. We will acknowledge and work to resolve valid grievances within the statutory timeframe.

13. Children

Wention is a business tool not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
