This policy explains how Wention uses cookies and similar technologies on wention.ai, why we use them, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in comparable ways. They help a website function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.
Cookies may be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by a provider that helps us run the site). They may also be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
Strictly necessary
These are essential for the Platform to work. They authenticate you, keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, remember your cookie choice, and support secure checkout when you buy credits. Because the service cannot function without them, they cannot be switched off.
Functional & analytics
These help us understand how members find and use Wention so we can improve it — for example, by measuring page visits and traffic, and by recording, in a first-party cookie, how you first arrived (such as the referring site or campaign). This first-party measurement is not shared with third parties. We also use a third-party analytics service to measure aggregate site usage.
Marketing
If and when we run advertising or retargeting campaigns, we may use marketing cookies to show relevant ads and measure their performance. These load only in line with the consent choices described below.
How non-essential (analytics and marketing) cookies behave depends on where you are:
You can change your choice at any time by clearing the wention:cookie-consentvalue in your browser’s site storage — our banner will appear again on your next visit. Note that a first-party cookie recording how you first found us may be set to power our own product analytics; it does not share data with third parties.
Besides our banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies, and open a private/incognito window. Helpful guides are available in the settings or help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop you from signing in or using parts of the Platform.
As our Platform evolves, the cookies we use may change. We will update this policy and the “Last updated” date accordingly. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
